Natsuki Hanae and Yūichirō Umehara Star in “Koi Suru Shirokuma”

Short-form TV anime is based on popular web manga about a seal and a polar bear falling in love

The main cast has been announced for Koi Suru Shirokuma, a short form TV anime based on the web manga by Koromo about a male polar bear and a male seal falling in love.

Yūichirō Umehara will play Shirokuma-san, a lonely and amorous polar bear. Natsuki Hanae will play Azarashi-kun, a seal who initially mistakes Shirokuma-san’s romantic advances as signs of hunger. Koi Suru Shirokuma will be directed by Katsuya Ichikawa (Monster Strike).

Described as a “white love story in the Law of the Jungle world” and also as a “heart-warming B.L. (Beast Love) comedy”, the original Koi Suru Shirokuma manga is published on the Pixiv Comic and Comic Walker websites. Kadokawa also publishes printed volumes of Koi Suru Shirokuma under their Media Factory Comics label.
