FripSide Performs Opening Theme for “Clockwork Planet”

Adaptation based on light novel series about a mechanical world is coming in April of 2017

Japanese pop duo fripSide (composed of Satoshi “Sat” Yaginuma and Yoshino Nanjō) will be performing the opening theme for Clockwork Planet, an upcoming TV anime based on the fantasy light novel series written by Yuu Kamiya and Tsubaki Himana and illustrated by Shino. The name of the opening theme song has not yet been revealed.

Clockwork Planet is directed by Tsuyoshi Nagasawa and features animation by XEBEC. The series envisions a setting where the deceased Earth has been reproduced in its entirety by clockwork mechanisms. The series will begin broadcasting on TBS (Tokyo Broadcasting System) and BS-TBS in April of 2017.
