"Adventure Time" Studio Rumored to Be Adapting "Castlevania"

A news tidbit from a year ago is resurfacing thanks to a recent Nick Animation podcast: Fred Seibert, owner of Frederator Studios, looks like he may be eyeing video game series Castlevania for American TV.

Starting at 31:40, Seibert talks about a new project that “needs to go unnamed” but is “based on one of the most world-famous video games of the last 30 years.” The title has apparently been on the back burner for twelve years, but is now underway.

Fans have speculated that the “world-famous” title could refer to Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda, or Mega Man. But when paired with whisperings of an animated Castlevania miniseries and this Facebook post from Dredd producer Adi Shankar, speculations are starting to zero in on the popular vampire title.

No more is currently known about the project.
