84 year old actor Tatsuya Nakadai – whose decades-spanning career includes credits working alongside such Japanese film luminaries as Akira Kurosawa, Hideo Gosha, and Kon Ichikawa – recently started up a Twitter account in an effort to promote his new film, Umibe no Lear (“Lear by the Seashore”).
Nakadai joined Twitter on January 01, 2017, and already has almost 13,000 followers at his official account (@nakadai84). The account is limited time promotion leading up to the release of Umibe no Lear in June of 2017.
Umibe no Lear is directed by Masahiro Kobayashi. In the film, Nakadai plays a formerly world-famous actor who is banished to a nursing home by the seaside when his daughters suspect he is suffering from dementia.
