Kadokawa Unleashes “Saga of Tanya the Evil” Mini-Anime

Lighthearted short animation “Youjo Shenki” pokes fun at the grim atmosphere of the new light novel adaptation

To celebrate the release of Saga of Tanya the Evil, a brand new TV anime based on the Youjo Senki series of light novels written by Carlo Zen and illustrated by Shinobu Shinotsuki, Kadokawa is publishing a humorous mini-anime entitled Youjo Shenki in which the main character launches complaints from mid-air instead of bullets.

In the debut episode of the mini-anime, Tanya Degurechaff floats above the battlefield and muses about how tired she is and how her food and coffee rations are terrible. Youjo Shenki is written and directed by Minoru Ashina and features animation by Studio Puyukai.
