Vocaloid virtual idol Hatsune Miku and kabuki actor Nakamura Shidō II are once again teaming up to perform a series of “Super Kabuki” live exhibitions at the Nico Nico Super Conference 2017, which will be held at the Makuhari Messe convention center in Chiba on April 29 – 30, 2017.

This year’s “Super Kabuki” stage show will feature an original play entitled “Kuruwa Kotoba Awase Kagami” (“Words and Mirrors Come Together in Kuruwa”), a love story set in the geisha quarter. The play will be performed twice per day (at 1:00 PM JST and again at 4:00PM JST), and each performance will run about an hour in length.

The “Super Kabuki” event is free to attend for anyone visiting the Nico Nico Super Conference 2017 event, although there is also a lottery-style drawing for premium seating to the shows. Tickets for the lottery-style drawing cost 4000 yen ($35.27 US).
