Kana Hanazawa, Hiroshi Kamiya Join “Yoru wa Mijikashi Arukeyo Otome” Anime Film


Following 35-year-old singer-songwriter Gen Hoshino as the protagonist Senpai, the official website for the upcoming anime feature film adaptation of Tomihiko Morimi’s award-winning love story novel Yoru wa Mijikashi Arukeyo Otome (Night is short, Walk, Girl) today announced more voice cast, including Kana Hanazawa as the main heroine Kurokami no Otome (Black Haired Maiden) and Hiroshi Kamiya as Senpai’s school friend, School Festival Executive Director (real name is unknown).

 Higuchi Shisho: Kazuya Nakai (Roronoa Zoro in One Piece)

Masaaki Yuasa, who worked on the 11-episode TV anime adaptation of Morimi’s 2005 novel Yojyohan

Shinwa Taikei/The Tatami Galaxy in 2010, is again attached to direct on a screenplay by Makoto Ueda.

But instead of Madhouse for The Tatami Galaxy, Yuasa’s own company Science SARU (Ping Pong The

Animation) works on anime production. The film will be distributed by Toho Visual Entertainment in

Japan from April 7.
